Crunchy Pick 'Ems - with Glow in the Dark Resin
ick 'Em Glow Edition = low-light sensory regulation tool. They’re texture-packed, resin-loaded discs, designed for those who love/need to pick, pull, peel, extract, & fidget… without destroying their skin.
We chose these crunchy inclusions because the experience is SO satisfying — the sound, the resistance, the texture, the little pop moment when each piece comes out… it’s basically a sensory dopamine loot box. Honestly… these are next level.
And as a completely unexpected bonus?
They glow in the dark! Itis isn’t just a visual delight... it means they can be a low-light sensory regulation tool.
When I first held these in my hand in the dark it reminded me being in a magical underwater cave. Our Crunchy Pick ’Ems are designed for those that delight in ‘extraction’ and/or struggle with picking & popping behaviours. Crunchy, satisfying, and surprisingly immersive…
They are:
We have intentionally designed their size as a small, portable tool for anywhere use.
These crunchy pieces can be popped out, picked out with nails, or you can use tweezers to extract. Squishing the pad is also incredibly satisfying both with pieces still in and also once removed. Even after the contents have been picked out, the silicone itself remains a great sensory stim tool.
Not re-meltable? We hear you!
Our Put ’Em Putty range (available separately) allows you to use the contents picked out of the Pick ’Ems over and over again, creating ongoing & sustainable support.
Does it feel exactly the same? Not quite…
But for most, it’s definitely still satisfying!
(See below for the important reason why we don’t use re-meltable silicone.)
The Experience
The immersive experience involves focus, digging, resistance, satisfaction & (personally speaking) sheer delight.
Warning: can be hard to stop once starting.
Hands get a good workout, so it’s helpful to rest from time to time.
Great for mindfulness, regulation and calming. And the glow-in-the-dark effect adds an extra layer of visual sensory reward that makes these even harder to put down.
Two reasons we elected to not use reusable silicone
1. It’s colour resembles ‘wee’ (ick I know)
2. Most importantly, for safety reasons – if overheated (heated too long or due to variance in microwave) or heated too many times it can catch the microwave alight.
Important Note (Trypophobia / holes)
Likely not to suit those that struggle with imperfection or sensory issues with holes, as once the contents are removed they may leave holes.
Trypophobia is an aversion or repulsion to objects like honeycombs and sponges that have repetitive patterns or clusters of small holes.
