Value $75.85 saving $13.30!
Our Pick “Em Starter Set is a kit bundled with 2 putty is designed as a support for those that delight in 'extraction' & popping and/or struggle with picking & pulling hair out. Can be a support for those struggling with trichotillomania and skin picking. Those that have tried them in the sample phase have been surprised at how long & satisfying the 'extraction process' of pulling out the fibres & removal of the stones actually is! We have intentionally designed their size as a small, portable tool for anywhere use.
Not so keen that our Pick 'Ems are not re-meltable? We hear you! It is why this bundle includes 2 of our Put 'Em Putty allowing you to use the stones picked out of the Pick 'Ems over and over again, creating ongoing & sustainable support. See the important reason why we won't use remeltable silicone below.
The immersive experience involves focus, digging, resistance, satisfaction & (personally speaking) sheer delight. Warning: can be hard to stop once starting grin. See videos of it in action also. Hands get a good work out, so helpful to rest from time to time. Great for mindfulness, regulation and calming. Squishing the silicone, even after stones removed, more many is satisfying.

"I love these picky pads so much, I've lost count of how many I've gone through! I'm also collecting a nice assortment of natural stones and painted ones that are great for use as pretty decor. Waiting on my latest order while I demolish this one.😁 Hayley 2025 "
"These have been wonderful for my child with Trichotillomania and has diverted them from pulling hairs. Frankie 2025"
"The fishing cord is perfection. But there is also something so satisfying slowly working out large pebbles with my fingers. Absolutely in love with this company, especially the pick em range. So useful and great quality. Only complaint is there’s almost too good, it’s hard not to order more! 🤣 Bec 2025"
Amazing! I have dermotillomania (skin picking) and really enjoy pulling the little threads out of the silicone. The rocks are also a little tougher (I've been using my hands) but equally as satisfying! Marlene 2025"
"Loved these products!! Super helpful for trichotillomania. Madison 2025"
Pick “Em Starter Set comes in a gorgeous window tin with
1. Thread pick ‘em disc - contains both polyester threads and Japanese nylon fishing line. Designed to mimic pulling out hair. The two materials give different levels of 'tug' or resistance when extracted. The polyester thread can fray and break) in the process, adding to the 'surgical like' procedure of getting it ALL out. The nylon fishing line feels like pulling an ingrown hair out. rubbing along the sides you can often feel the ends of the nylon, quite like hairs on a chin lol.
2. Stone pick ‘em disc - These polished natural stones can be popped out, picked out with nails or you can use the tweezers to extract. Can then be repurposed after they are out. Refill stacks are available separately and have additional materials also. Squishing the pad is quite satisfying both with stones still in and also when removed. (See note re Trypophobia below though)
3. 2 pairs of purpose designed, 403 chromium stainless steel tweezers (food grade, corrosion resistant, high strength & hardness rated)- pointy tip & pointed slanted tip. See safety information below. They are sharp & are for use with the pads to pull out fibres & stones. (valued at 29.95)
4. Teal Spikeyring silicone picking pad - flexible silicone with texture both sides for ongoing picking support and sensory input. Can be put on a keyring. (valued at 14.90)
Each of the silicone discs contain items with purpose in mind. In addition to being pure JOY for many, there is a more serious side to this genuine sensory seeking behaviour. Picking skin & hair pulling can be a form of stimming sometimes referred to as body-focused repetitive behaviour & super common, especially for those, like me, that are neurodivergent. It can be a sensory self-regulation behaviour, stim or part of repetitive ‘loop’. It can lead to compromised skin, bald patches, risk of infection, scars, shame and distress. It can also be a challenge to stop, even when harmful. Which is why we have a focus on having a range of tools to assist in supporting this sensory need.
These are single use, however will likely surprise you as to how long they take to do.
Two reasons we elected to not use the reuseable silicone:
-
- it's colour resembles 'wee' (ick i know)
- most importantly, for safety reasons - if over heated (length heated too long or due to variance in microwave) or heated too many times it can catch the microwave alight.
Likely not to suit those that struggle with imperfection or sensory issues with holes, as once removed the stones leave holes. Trypophobia is an aversion or repulsion to objects like honeycombs and sponges that have repetitive patterns or clusters of small holes.
We have a Pick 'Em Starter Set & also a Thread Pick 'Em Stack sold separately.
Silicone Pad size: 60mm x 10mm
Materials: Stainless Steel (tweezers) , Silicone, Stone, Nylon & Polyester.
The inclusions in the Pick 'Ems are natural and from time to time there may be natural debris/nature inclusions such tiny particles of leaves. Not common but can happen.
Contains small parts however we recommend those using this kit are 8 years + in developmental/intellectual age.
Safety Information: Please note this kit is not a toy and should be used for the purposes intended.
The silicone is single use and should not be reheated.
